Unique flexible LED displays now available from PSCo

18. Januar 2011

NanoLumens TechnologyBig screen and videowall rental experts PSCo is launching an exciting new flexible LED signs technology from US manufacturers NanoLumens, which can be wrapped around pillars and flexed into curves to create stunning digital displays for exhibitions and events.

The revolutionary NanoLumens 112” screen is a flexible 6mm LED screen that is thin and lightweight and so can be hung simply and quickly with very little infrastructure, and can be curved in convex or concave formations and flexed around walls, with a potential bend radius of up to 48”. At only 41kg, the screen is also cheap to transport and install.

The screens are extremely efficient in their power consumption, making them a cost effective solution for large scale exhibition displays, and have a simple ‘plug and play’ system making operation simple.

The screen is designed for both indoor and outdoor use and is extremely durable and robust.

The NanoLumens 112” screen is now available to rent, and can be viewed by appointment at PSCo’s Reading demonstration suite.

Stuart Holmes, Managing Director of PSCo explains;

“NanoLumens is one of the most exciting technologies that I have seen for years. Its flexibility means it opening new ideas for exhibition and event applications. Give me a pillar or a wavy exhibition stand and these can now have a digital canvas applied! At just 41kg, this is a product which keeps costs to a minimum, while delivering a very bright, high quality led panel display.”

PSCo will be offering a unique suite of accessories to support the product, including a flexible rail system to help installation of the screen up to 43°. The 6mm pixel pitch enables the screen to led display stunning graphics and full motion video.

SouthWest NanoTechnologies Introducing Carbon Nanotube Inks and Prototyping Kits

18. Januar 2011
(Nanowerk News) SouthWest NanoTechnologies, Inc. (SWeNT), the world leader in high quality, Single-Wall and Specialty Multi-Wall (SMW™) carbon nanotubes (CNT), is introducing its family of conductive and semi-conductive CNT inks for flexible printed electronic display at the FlexTech Alliance 2011 Flexible Electronic signs and Displays Conference and Exhibition.
SWeNT will be exhibiting in booth 214 at the Flexible Electronics led message boards Conference and Exhibition (FlexTech), February 7 – 10 at the Arizona Grand Resort in Phoenix, AZ.
SWeNT® CNT Inks are based on V2V™ Ink technology developed by alliance partner, Chasm Technologies, Inc. Using Single-Wall CNTs (SWCNTs), these inks can be printed using commercial, high-volume printing methods and equipment, including flexographic, gravure and screen printing.
The breakthrough process eliminates the need for subtractive patterning as well as post-production processes needed to remove ink dispersants and surfactants that are present with other printable CNT inks that degrade optoelectronic performance. Combined with SWeNT’s unique ability to tailor the synthesis of CNT materials for applications (using its patented CoMoCAT® process), customers are able to print large area, low-cost devices for a wide range of applications including affordable photovoltaics, printed electronics and displays LED Billboard .
SWeNT will also be offering prototyping kits in several varieties of inks, for customers and potential partners to run trials to test the ink for existing applications.
“The customer feedback for this innovative, cost-efficient ink has been extremely positive and now we have pre-existing prototyping kits to validate the quality of our products to use with their existing printing processes,” explains SWeNT CEO Dave Arthur. “Carbon nanotubes can finally be printed with a high quality, lower cost result that will drive commercial demand in many applications.”
The 10th annual Flextech conference brings together a collection of experts from industry, academia and R&D to share the latest advances in flexible, printed electronics and displays. Conference sessions will focus on the emerging fields of flexible, printed and organic electronics manufacturing, including solar and photovoltaic, solid-state, RFID, sensors, touch, energy storage, medical devices and flexible display applications and markets.
To arrange an interview with SWeNT regarding innovative nanomaterials products or carbon nanotube materials, please call Andrew Lavin at 516-944-4486.
